Conseco, Inc. (NYSE: CNO) today reported results for third quarter 2009. "Conseco recorded its third consecutive profitable quarter, reporting $15.4 million of net income," CEO Jim Prieur said. "Our Bankers Life business turned in a strong quarter with pre-tax operating earnings up 26% over last year's third quarter and record performance in both life and Medicare Supplement sales and again in agent recruitment."
